Over the summer, I had the opportunity to talk to Taryn Lee about her most recent performance piece, "Need", an interpretation of Kazuo Shiraga's work, "Challenging Mud".

From kneading 300 lbs of dough that she got from the Anteatery to cutting her hair short just for the piece, Taryn, put a lot of heart and soul into "Need", which she would perform at 14th Undergraduate Juried Exhibition in UCI's University Art Gallery. If you want to read more about her piece, check out her article, "Need Thoughts".

Taryn is an amazing spirit with an immense passion for art/art history, and I highly recommend grabbing a coffee with her to just sit down and talk about art 4 days. (you won't be disappointed)
